Frequently Asked Questions
-
Interior design is typically focused on the physical structure of a space. That can include renovations, construction plans, cabinetry, built-ins, material specifications, plumbing or electrical changes, and working with contractors or architects.
Interior styling focuses on everything that happens within the existing space. Things like:
furniture selection and layout
lighting and decor
styling shelves and surfaces
color direction
art and textiles
creating cohesion
making a space feel finished and functional
In practical terms, interior design changes the actual space. Interior styling changes how the space looks, feels, and functions using the elements already inside it.
My work is primarily on the styling side. I help people make decisions within the home they already have, whether that’s improving layout, sourcing pieces, creating cohesion, or figuring out why a space feels off even when they already own good things.
-
Yes. I offer both virtual and in-person interior styling services.
I’m based in the Seattle/Tacoma area and love working with local clients in person when possible. For local projects, that can include site visits, styling sessions, sourcing support, and hands-on layout or installation help depending on the scope.
I also work with clients remotely through:
photos and videos
Pinterest boards or inspiration images
video calls
sourcing decks and recommendations
Virtual styling works especially well for layout help, sourcing, styling direction, and smaller-space problem solving.
-
No, not at all. I work across a range of budgets and project scopes.
A lot of good styling comes from layout, scale, lighting, restraint, and making more intentional decisions, not just buying expensive furniture. At the same time, I’m also happy to incorporate investment pieces where it makes sense for the space and the client’s goals.
Most projects end up being a mix of:
existing client pieces
vintage and secondhand finds
accessible retailers
IKEA and Marketplace
selective higher-end or investment items
The goal is usually not to replace everything. It’s to create a space that feels cohesive, functional, and reflective of the person living there.
-
Most of my clients are people who care about their space but feel stuck in the execution. They’ve usually already saved inspiration, bought some pieces they like, and hit a point where the space still doesn’t feel cohesive or finished.
I frequently work with:
renters and apartment dwellers
first-time homeowners and long-time homeowners wanting a reset
people trying to make better use of the space they already have
clients who feel stuck between inspiration and execution
A large portion of my work is focused on rentals, apartments, and spaces with limitations, and I’m happy to work within the realities of what you can actually change in your home.
-
Yes. Most people do not need to start over. Part of my process is identifying:
what’s already working
what can be repositioned, repurposed, modified, or styled differently
what’s actually missing
what’s worth investing in versus skipping
A lot of the transformation comes from better decisions and better sequencing, not just more stuff.
-
Yes. Absolutely.
Most people actually do have style instincts. They just don’t trust themselves anymore because they’ve been overwhelmed by too many options, conflicting inspiration, or purchases that didn’t work out the way they hoped.
Part of my role is helping identify patterns in what you’re naturally drawn to and translating that into decisions that make sense for your actual life and space.
-
Yes. Everything is tailored to your budget, space, and how you actually live. I source from a mix of:
Online retailers
Vintage
Facebook Marketplace
Local shops
IKEA and other budget-friendly options
Investment pieces where it makes sense

Payment structure depends on the scope of the project, but most projects require an upfront deposit to reserve your spot and begin work, with the remaining balance paid either at project delivery or split into phases for larger projects.
For sourcing-heavy or longer-term projects, payments may be broken into milestones based on the scope and timeline.
I’ll always outline pricing, deliverables, and payment timing clearly in writing before we begin so there’s no ambiguity around cost or expectations.
Unless otherwise arranged, clients purchase recommended items directly through provided sourcing links. -
Depends on scope. Smaller styling refreshes may take a couple weeks. Larger projects that involve sourcing, layout changes, or gradual implementation often evolve over time.
I generally encourage people not to rush the process. The best spaces usually develop in layers.

Start by reaching out through the contact form with a few details about your space, what you’re struggling with, and the type of help you’re looking for.
From there, I’ll have you send:
photos and/or videos of the space
any budget or timeline considerations
Once I review everything, I’ll recommend the best service option based on your needs and we’ll move into the next step. You can learn more about my process here.
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Most clients come to me because they feel stuck somewhere between inspiration and execution.
Can’t wait to connect with you.
